Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 8, 2026
This document is a good-faith template provided for convenience. It is not legal advice and should be reviewed by qualified counsel before you rely on it.
StockMarketCap (the “Service”) is operated by Saren LLC (“Saren,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the StockMarketCap websites and applications.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. When you register, we collect your name and email address. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information from that provider. We do not store your social-login password.
- Usage and analytics data. We collect information about how you interact with the Service, such as pages viewed, features used, device and browser type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and timestamps. To improve usability we may also record how sessions interact with our pages (clicks, scrolling, and text entered into non-sensitive fields); passwords and payment details are never recorded.
- Content you create. When you are signed in, we store the portfolios and preferences you create so they sync across your devices. When you are signed out, your portfolio is kept only in your browser and is not sent to us. Watchlists are stored in your browser.
2. How we use information
- to provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- to authenticate you and keep your account secure;
- to save and display your watchlists, portfolios, and settings;
- to understand usage through analytics so we can improve features and performance;
- to communicate with you about your account, security, and service updates; and
- to detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security issues, and to comply with legal obligations.
3. Third-party processors
We rely on trusted third-party service providers to operate the Service. These processors handle data on our behalf and are permitted to use it only to provide their services to us. They include:
- Authentication providers, to register and sign you in (including Google and Apple sign-in);
- Product analytics providers, to measure and improve how the Service is used;
- Database and hosting providers, to store your data and run the Service infrastructure; and
- Market-data providers, who supply the prices, fundamentals, and other market information shown on the Service.
4. Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and similar technologies, including browser local storage, to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (such as theme), and support core functionality. Some analytics may also use cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect parts of the Service.
5. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain information for longer where required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. You can also update your account information or delete your account from within the Service where that option is available.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 where a higher age applies under local law), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
9. International transfers
We and our service providers may process and store your information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
