Getting started

StockMarketCap is a free site that ranks US stocks by market capitalization, with live-ish prices, interactive charts, and the fundamentals behind every name. You can browse most of the site without an account. Signing in is only needed to save a watchlist or a portfolio.

  • Start on the home rankings table to see the largest US companies in order.
  • Use the search box in the header to jump straight to any company.
  • Switch between light and dark themes with the toggle in the header. Your choice is remembered.

Features

A quick map of everything StockMarketCap can do, grouped by what you are trying to get done. Each area has its own section or page with more detail.

  • Live market-cap rankings. Every US public company, ordered by market cap with live-ish prices and daily moves, on the home table.
  • Interactive charts & fundamentals. Price charts plus financials, valuation, and the numbers behind each name on its stock page.
  • Stock screener. Filter the whole market by market cap, P/E, dividend yield, sector, exchange, and more.
  • Sector heatmap. The entire market in one view, with tiles colored by sector and sized so strength and weakness jump out.
  • Calendars. Earnings, IPO, and dividend calendars for what is coming up.

Rankings & market cap

The home table is the heart of the site. Every row is a company, ranked by market cap (share price multiplied by shares outstanding). Click a column header to sort by price, daily change, volume, or other metrics.

Stock pages

Each stock page collects everything we have on a company in one place. Tabs and panels cover the areas most investors care about.

  • Financials. Revenue, earnings, margins, and balance-sheet history.
  • Valuation. P/E, price-to-sales, and other ratios, with context against peers.
  • Dividends. Yield, payout history, and the ex-dividend schedule.
  • Analyst ratings. Consensus targets plus recent upgrades and downgrades.
  • Insider & congress activity. Recent insider trades and congressional trades tied to the company.

Screener, heatmap & sectors

Three tools help you explore the whole market rather than one name at a time.

  • Screener. Combine multiple filters (market cap, P/E, dividend yield, sector, exchange, and more) to build your own shortlist.
  • Heatmap. A single view of the market, with tiles colored by sector and sized so you can spot strength and weakness at a glance.
  • Sectors. See how each sector is performing and drill into the companies inside it.

Calendars

Three calendars keep you ahead of the events that move stocks, each with dates, estimates, and the companies involved.

  • Earnings calendar. Upcoming and recent results, with consensus estimates where we have them.
  • IPO calendar. New listings, expected pricing, and the companies coming to market.
  • Dividend calendar. Ex-dividend dates, pay dates, and amounts for income investors.

Watchlist & portfolio

Sign in to save the names you follow and track what you own. Both features are free.

  • Watchlist. A saved list of the companies you want to keep an eye on, synced to your account.
  • Portfolio. Add your holdings to follow profit and loss over time, and generate a clean shareable P&L image when you want to post a result.

AI assistant

The “Ask anything” bar at the bottom of the screen lets you ask questions in plain language, like “which megacap tech stocks pay a dividend?” or “how has this company's revenue grown?” It answers from the data already on StockMarketCap.

  • The assistant is available to signed-in users, with 5 free messages, after which it is part of Plus.
  • It draws on our market data and fundamentals to keep answers grounded.

StockMarketCap is free to start, with an optional Plus plan for the full research and tracking toolkit. See the pricing page for the live comparison and to upgrade.

  • Free ($0/mo). Live market-cap rankings and prices, interactive charts and company fundamentals, the screener, heatmap and sector views, the earnings, IPO and dividend calendars, and a watchlist of up to 20 stocks.
  • Plus ($49.99/yr, or $6.99/mo). Everything in Free, plus an unlimited watchlist and portfolio tracking, premium fundamentals (DCF, forecasts, valuation bands and full statements), the backtester and advanced compare tools, Congress and insider trade activity, and an ad-free experience.

Plus is purchased through the in-app checkout on the pricing page, with secure payment via Stripe. You can cancel anytime.

Tokenomics ($SCAP)

$SCAP, the MarketCap Token, is a planned community token for StockMarketCap. The full details live on the tokenomics page. The short version:

  • Fair launch on bags.fm. $SCAP is planned to launch via an open-market fair launch on bags.fm, with no VCs and no private sale. Anyone can take part on the same terms.
  • Community-owned. Around 90% of supply reaches the community through the open-market launch, with a transparent 10% founder allocation disclosed up front.
  • Revenue-funded buybacks. The plan is for real product revenue (Plus subscriptions) to fund open-market buybacks of $SCAP, in the spirit of Hyperliquid's Assistance Fund. Value is meant to accrue through buybacks, not dividends or equity.

$SCAP is not live yet and may never launch. Everything here is forward-looking and illustrative, and subject to change. A token launch is high-risk and you can lose money. Any buybacks would be discretionary and depend on actual revenue, with no promised amount, schedule or price. Nothing here is investment advice or an offer of securities.
